Common Name: Golden Pencilfish
Latin Name: Nannostomus beckfordi
Origin: Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana and northern Brazil. This species is an excellent choice for the newcomers to fishkeeping. It’s less fussy than many pencils, and is both peaceful and attractive. It also exhibits some really interesting behaviour as the males defend small territories against each other. Males will show some lovely intense red colouration once acclimatised into suitable surroundings.Take all types of life & frozen food, pellets and flakes.
