Description
Duckweed (Lemna sp.) are small aquatic plants which floats on or just beneath the surface of still or slow-moving fresh water bodies.
The tiny plants provide cover for young fry and can be used as breeding aid for bubble-nest builders and livebearers.
These rapidly growing plants can also be useful as water purifiers, as they will remove nitrate, absorbing excess mineral nutrients, particularly nitrogen and phosphates.
Duckweed is sold per cup – approximately 1 medication cup (30ml)
Note:
Duckweed can also be used as a vegetable food for many tropical fish, e.g. African Cichlids and Goldfish.
NOTE: Due to Quarantine Laws – no plants will be shipped to WA and TAS.
