Ecological information: The rare and beautiful two toned Mopani wood is cut from the roots of the dead Mopani Tree.
Contains tannins that can darken and discolor the water. These tannins will not harm your aquarium inhabitants but will soften the water and lower the pH slightly over time.
Stained water is great for many South American and Asian fish species as they will feel more secure and the water chemistry will be closer to their natural habitat.
Tannins are also used to induce spawning behavior in many of these fish.
