Origin: Native to Rio Paraguay in Paraguay, South America.
Temperament: Peaceful schooling fish.
Diet: Will thrive on good quality pelleted food such as Spectrum Grow Formula or Hikari Micropellets. Benefits from the inclusion of small live and frozen foods in its diet.
Always buy a group of at least 6 of these, preferably 10 or more. Best kept in a heavily-planted arrangement with a dark substrate and floating plants to diffuse the lighting. If maintained in sparse surroundings it will not develop its best colours.
