Origin: South America from the Tumbes River in Peru to the Esmeraldas River in Ecuador.
Diet: Will take all types of life & frozen food (krill, bloodworms, and brine shrimp), will thrive on any good quality pellet and flake food such as New Live Spectrum or Hikari pellets.
Green Terror Cichlids are carnivore. They are large and can be a very aggressive fish, requiring a large amount of space to themselves and are only suitable for similarly large and aggressive tank mates. Captive specimens are relatively unfussy eaters, but should receive a varied diet comprising high quality, fine-grade prepared foods plus live or frozen chironomid larvae, Tubifex, Artemia, mosquito larvae, etc.
