Description
Common name: CRS, Crystal Red Shrimp
Latin name: Caridina cf. cantonensis
Maximum size: 3cm
Water chemistry: pH: 6.0-7.8; Hardness: soft to hard; Temperature: 20-26C
Setup: Crystal red shrimp are a little more sensitive than most common dwarf shrimp. Their ancestor, the bee shrimp, naturally occurs in fast-flowing, clean waters. Due to selective breeding crystal reds are even more sensitive.
Diet: The shrimps are scavenging omnivores. It is a good species for the consumption of algae in the planted aquarium.
Somewhat adaptable to water conditions, however extremely sensitive to pollution and toxins. Those shrimp look amazing and have interesting personality. You will receive the shrimp unsexed due to their size (mostly 0.8-1.2cm). Only small, harmless fish such as small tetras, rasboras and livebearers are suitable for cohabitation.
You are purchasing one lot of 3 unsexed shrimp of this kind.
NOTE: Due to changes in the WA Quarantine Laws – shrimp can not be shipped to WA and TAS.
