Latin Name: Altolamprologus calvus
The Black Calvus Cichlid is a striking fish from Lake Tanganyika. They inhabit rocky reef-like structures where his compressed body allows them to slip into crevices, hunting small prey with precision. Consequently, this carnivorous species brings unique behavior to aquariums. Another stunning feature is its sleek black coloration and slow growth make it a captivating choice for hobbyists seeking an African cichlid with character. This species exhibits slow, deliberate movements and a preference for rocky environments with plenty of hiding spaces, making it a compelling yet specialized addition to the home aquarium.
